Bijoy Layout but Unicode Output — How?
Text typed on a Bijoy keyboard is normally in an ASCII font (SutonnyMJ) — and that text breaks the moment it goes into Facebook, email or a website. This editor follows Bijoy's UniJoy layout but produces Unicode: your fingers keep the Bijoy habit while the result works everywhere — Facebook, Word, Google Docs, websites, Messenger. Headings, bold, lists and tables are all supported.
To bring old SutonnyMJ (Bijoy) text into Unicode use the Bijoy to Unicode converter, and to take Unicode text into Bijoy for press or newspaper work use the Unicode to Bijoy converter. If you would rather type phonetically there is Avro Keyboard Online, and for spelling the Spell Checker.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is this the official Bijoy software?
No — "Bijoy" is Ananda Computers' software and trademark. This page is an independent online editor that follows the same UniJoy layout and produces Unicode.
Is my text sent anywhere?
No — the typing happens entirely in your browser, and the draft is saved in this browser too.
Does it work on a phone?
A physical key map does not apply on a phone, but you can tap the buttons in the key map to write, or switch to Avro Phonetic mode.
