Spoken Commands for Punctuation
Say any of these words while dictating and the matching mark or line break is inserted:

You need not say daari at all: with "add daari at the end of a sentence" switched on, a । is placed at the end of each sentence for you. Untick it if you would rather not.
How to Get Good Results
- Speak at a natural pace — not too fast or too slow, in clear, ordinary sentences.
- Find a quiet place — background noise, a fan or a television all increase errors.
- Keep the mic close — a headphone mic is best if you have one.
- Pausing is fine — a silence does not stop it listening; it restarts by itself.
- English words may be written in English — if you want the whole text in English, select English above.

Is my speech recorded?
We store no audio at all. The recognition is done by your browser's own speech service, and the text stays in your browser.
Does it work on a phone?
It works well in Chrome on Android. Safari on iPhone does not support it yet — there, use the mic button on the phone's own keyboard.
Does it work without the internet?
No. The browser's speech service needs an internet connection to turn speech into text.
